DailyDish: Pack a picnic lunch
Categories: Money & work, Fun & activities, Eating & nutrition
You might be tempted to hit the drive-thru when your family gets hungry on your next road trip. Though fast food is certainly convenient, its greasy choices are often pretty limited. Try packing a picnic lunch instead. Pack everyone's favorite sandwiches with some easy to serve sides, like chopped veggies, fruit, or drinkable yogurts. You can either save time by eating on the road, or pull of in a roadside park to stretch your legs after you eat.Not only will you save time and money, you'll also create memories (and even maybe a family tradition) that your children will love.
