Reborn babies fool cops

If you have ever seen a Reborn baby doll, then you know that they look for all the world like real babies. Reborns are popular with doll collectors as well as those who can't or don't want to have actual children. Some of these dolls come complete with beating hearts and an apparatus that makes them appear to breathe. Some of them, however, just lie there looking like real babies who aren't breathing. Like the one police in Australia saw when they peered into the window of an otherwise empty and locked automobile. Believing a child's life was in danger, the police smashed the window and rescued the doll. 
This isn't the only case of police being fooled by a Reborn. A similar incident in the United States cost a man a window out of his brand new Hummer after his wife left her Reborn in his car.
I think if you are going to have a fake baby that looks so lifelike that people will break out your windows to rescue it, you might want to add a blanket to your fake diaper bag. That way, you will have something to throw over it when you leave it alone in the car.

They are already in full use in carpool lanes and the bridge toll lane and they work great now a man can have his cake and eat it too though i hear one woman got a 250 dollar fine for an empty kid seat it would be ok if you only got caught once a month because you SAVE 4 bucks bridge fare and two gallons of gas a day then there is the extra 2 to 4 hours of time off the commute not spent in traffic while YOUR TAX DOLLARS BUILD CARPOOL LANES and fund a FREE RIDE ON PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION instead of the roads they were desiginated to fund......... hint: some latex paint and water looks like milk in a bottle and your gym bag looks like a diaper bag
the down side is you got those crab carriers in the back seat.....

wait, what do you mean carpool? a baby can't drive, your not taking any vehicles off the road by driving a baby around, real or fake.

I find words such as "weird", "freaky", "creepy" etc. to be highly offensive comments made by uninformed people who have some insecurity about an an art form that they haven't seen before. It seems many people are obsessed with their own judgments about an art form with which they are unfamiliar. I can understand it isn't everyone's cup of tea. However, it isn't harming anyone or resulting in anything negative. People have collected dolls of all sorts for years. Ashton Drake is an extremely successful company based on producing realistic looking dolls to the masses who do enjoy them. I don't see anyone calling them names. Since a lot of of irrational fears are based on ignorance, I guess it goes without saying that so are irrational opinions.

Actually my son is in the military and as he says we have a draft. It ijust isn't called that. The way it works is you enlist in the military and after your time is up you get out, then you enter the reserves. Then they call you back up and then reinstate you and you are back in. It is often referred to a back door draft. It used to be rare this happened but now it is the norm because we have no official draft because it is politically unpopular and not enough people sign up. So the guys that have already repeatedly gone to war zones will continue to go.

my friend has one of these dolls; she had it in the back seat of her car while we were in a diner on a super cold night. We noticed two police officers coming in the diner noticing the "baby" in the back seat. They peered in the windows of the car several times before THEY realized it was a doll.......I suggested she throw something over it in the future!! I can understand the cops breaking the window of that car...the dolls look a little TOO real.
